We are so stoked to announce that we are now a Nukeproof dealer for the coming 2018 season. Couldn’t have picked a better time for it with Sam Hill clinching the over Enduro World Series in his first full season on board the Nukeproof Mega 275c. That’s carbon if you are not in the know, yes that’s right! Nukeproof now have a Nukeproof Mega in Carbon.
Keeping an eye on Nukeproof over the years while also having our team riders racing the Nukeproof Pulse DH bikes, we felt they had really nailed it with the line up of bikes for 2018. It didn’t much to convince us to stock in on the new range. We will be taking it slow as we want to keep the already existing brands we have in a strong position and build on the Nukeproof brand in the shop.
Sam was on board the new Nukeproof Mega 27c RS model in the range when taking the EWS crown in Finale Ligure, Italy but not only that, he piloted the carbon Mega to a crazy 6th place at the DH World Champs in Cairns while surrounded by big travel DH rigs. It shows just how capable the Nukeproof Mega is and also Sams mad skills on a bike. The blokes a bloody legend!
Nukeproof have not only a great range of bikes to offer at great value but some awesome colour ways! Nukeproof Megas starting from just £2399.99, their hardtail named the Scout starting at £849.99. So much value for money… we love it.
A couple of models we think are going to be great sellers.
Nukeproof Mega 290 Pro
The Nukeproof Mega 290 Pro comes equipped way above its retail price with Sram’s new GX Eagle 12 Speed drivetrain giving you all the benefits of XX1 Eagle for under half the price. The suspension is covered by RockShox with the Super Deluxe RC3 Rear shock giving you compression and rebound adjustments to fine-tune your setup along with a piggyback for more support on those harsher tracks.
The RockShox Lyrik fork will take anything you can throw at it with 170mm travel giving you all the confidence to hit harder and faster tracks on a trail bike. This bike has more than enough braking power with Srams Guide RE Brakes, a 4 piston calliper giving you control over the speeds that this bike is capable of. The Mavic XA Elite wheels are light enough for those long climbs but strong enough to take those big hits down the trails, and just look at that green! Looks bloody awesome!
Nukeproof Mega 275 Carbon Factory
Now, this is going to be a big one for Nukeproof in 2018. Equipped with Fox suspension on this Factory Build is a massive bonus for the guys who aren’t a fan of Rockshox. Fox 36 Factory Fit4 fork and Float X2 shock are one of the best combos on the market right now. The Float X2 having high & low speed rebound and compression giving you maximum tunability. Feel this is to much for you? We now offer shockwiz free of charge to get your suspension dialled when you purchase from us here at D&D Cycles. Takes the guessing game out the equation.
A set of the most understated wheels out there, the DT Swiss Spline E1700. These hoops are bomb proof or shall we say “Nukeproof”? 😉 Ridden by our team rider for the last 3 seasons who weighs around 14 stone nicknamed the “Raging Bull” due to his smash through anything riding style, we are yet to touch his wheels since the day he got them. One small dent from Milau EWS, apart from that tension is good and wheels are true!
To go with the monster feel of this bike, Nukeproof has equipped the Mega Factory build with a strong and reliable Shimano XT M8000 groupset. This includes cranks, mech, shifter, 11-42T cassette and brakes.
We can’t forget that colourway though, that is just stunning, matching up the the Factory Series Fox Suspension to the frame makes all the difference.
