Transition Patrol Alloy Frame

The all new Transition Patrol alloy frames gives you the control of a downhill bike perfectly balanced with a lively and jumpy personality for a comfortable, efficient and fun ride in almost any trail condition. Feeling that you don’t need carbon in your life and would rather have a big sh*t in the morning to save that extra 1lb in weight while also keeping your wallet on the heavier side then the Patrol Alloy is the one for you! At £1799.95 its really well priced against its competitors and just as fun as the carbon patrol there’s no doubt about that.

The Transition Patrol alloy frame and full build is not only jaw dropping, “im dribbling everywhere” kinda frame to look at it’s long and low with a slack 65 degree head angle and big wheelbase for tremendous stability in rowdy terrain. But don’t let the numbers fool you; the short 430mm chainstay and 155mm of active and carefully tuned suspension keep you in touch with the ground and ready to respond at a moment’s notice. With the Patrol you get big mountain confidence with trail bike agility in the same machine.

We wanted to push some very aggressive geometry numbers without creating a bike that rode heavy and sluggish on the trail. The patrol geometry is similar to some of the new 160mm+ bikes on the market, but with the 155m of rear travel it won’t feel out of reach for someone that was considering a bike in the 150mm catergory.

In his European race experiences, Lars felt that travel quantity was not holding him back and that less could actually be more, as long as it was correctly tuned. A shorter travel bike can help make up some more time in the pedaling sections and maintain more agility and awareness of the trail. We think we have nailed it on this bike!

The Transition Patrol alloy frame works with you depending on the trail conditions and how you are choosing lines. The bike rides very lively on the trail with great support in the berms and a poppy reaction on jumps and small features making it one of the funnest bikes to ride out on the trail. But the bikes stiff chassis, slack head angle and long wheelbase give you a ton of confidence in rough sections and steep terrain. Everything you would want in a long travel trail bike.

It was the most wanted trail bike in 2016 and sold out within a couple of months with stock flying out the door so don’t hesitate to contact us as a premium dealer of Transition on 01243 698689.

Transition Patrol Reviews

Bottom line? In a few short rides, this bike had me hitting lines I had been afraid of all week and tearing up my old playbook that dictated I’d never own anything slacker than 67 degrees or longer than 45 inches, or that wasn’t carbon fiber. ” - Bike Magazine (click here for full review)

“The Cliff Notes version for those with A.D.D. is, holy shit! We’re so stoked a smaller brand has been able to benefit so greatly from the once patented Horst Link design and made it their own. Transition’s Patrol has made the rounds with the Decline testers, and we haven’t yet had someone come back without a smile of disbelief and ask if they could buy the bike after the test. You’ll have so much fun riding this bike you’ll swear it’s against the law. ” - Decline Magazine (Click here for full review)

“Pointed downhill the Patrol will bring a smile to your face. It excels in situations that coincide with its geometry, including those that are fast and rough. Surprisingly it’s quite agile on the jumps as well, and we had no issues throwing it around in the air or through tight turns. Stability is quite good at all times, allowing you to precisely pick your way down the trail.” - VitalMTB.com Test Sessions (Click here for full review)

“Decline Magazine names the Patrol the 2015 All Mountain Bike Of The Year. ” - Decline Magazine (Click here for full article)
