2018 Transition Smuggler Alloy

Same name but different specie, the Transition Smuggler has been revamped like the rest of the 2018 line up. Fresh and new is what we like!

SBG… like you haven’t heard that already right? If you haven’t it stands for “Speed Balance Geometry” and its a first for the industry. Check it our here for more insight as to how they have come to create SBG.

Most people think that 29ers are sluggish, no fun, too big etc… Forget that when your looking at the 2018 Transitions Smuggler. It was playful and fun before Transition developed SBG. Now longer, slacker but due to the fork offset you loose the skiddy front end and keep the nibble handling that you would find on a short bike. Win win right?

Kevin and Kyle along with the Transition crew boosted the travel from 115mm to 120mm on the rear and upping it 10mm to 140 up front. Pushing the capabilities and fun factor that little further on the Smuggler.

Its great that they have now added a molded rubber down tube protector along with the chainstay protector for 2018. Not only that but to keep the bike nice and quiet Transition have produced some new rattle free internal cable port covers to eliminate cable rattle. We hate rattles so that’s a god send!
