Maxxis Minion DHR II Folding 3C TR DD Tyre
Maxxis Minion DHR II Folding 3C DD is a brand new redesign of its predecessor. Every aspect of the tyre has been improved. Using the shoulder knobs from the legendary Minion DHF and then beefing up the centre tread to added extra braking grip. Pairing up the DHR II with the Minion DHF in the EXO Protection compounds gives you a brilliant combination of grip without the sacrifice of rolling efficiency. Using the Double Down technology gives this tyre extra support at lower pressures and more protection on rougher tracks.

DD – Double Down is a new protection design that sit between standard 2Ply casings and EXO. The dual-ply 120 TPI casing and butyl insert makes this technology ideal for harder riders riding tougher tracks with more obstacles.
Tubeless Ready: Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tyre without the weight penalty. Our TR tyres use a standard casing and require the use of a liquid sealant in order to make them airtight
EXO: An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tyres. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tyre remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.
WT: Wide Trail construction optimizes the tire’s tread layout and profile on today’s modern, wider rims. Traditional tires are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tire profile, leading to less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider’s preference.
3C Maxx Terra: An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tyres. 3C Maxx Terra is softer and offers more traction than 3C Maxx Speed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than Maxx Grip.
